Introduction: This is a lesson designed to improve and reinforce basic
multiplication math skills.
Content Area(s) and Grade Level 3rd grade
Standard 4.2.1 By the end of fourth grade,
students will estimate and accurately calculate without and with calculators
and solve problems involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and
division of whole numbers and understand the relationships among the
operations.

Objectives
1. Students will use drill and practice to obtain mastery of their
multiplication facts.

Procedures
Springboard: Using the
classroom viewable computer screen, have a student demonstrate how to play the
various multiplication games for the class.
What teacher is to do:
1. The teacher will provide
instruction on how to play each of the games.

list to rotate all the students through the following games located on the

Closure: Students will
be required to evaluate the web site by writing a short evaluation.
Assessment: Teacher will evaluate
scorecards and record completion of the assignment in her records.
Explanation: I selected this activity to enhance the learning of multiplication
skills, which is one of the building blocks for math success.
